Under decree 2.25.983 published in December 2025, Morocco’s non-agricultural private-sector minimum wage rose 5% on 1 January 2026, from MAD 17.10 to 17.92 per hour — roughly MAD 3,422.72 gross monthly on a 191-hour basis.
The agricultural minimum (SMAG) follows on 1 April 2026 at MAD 97.44/day, closing the 2021–2026 social-dialogue cycle that lifted the SMIG by a cumulative 20%.
For employers in the region the impact is modest: export-industry pay scales already sit above the legal floor for skilled positions. Our labour-law and operating-costs pages are updated with the new figures.
