The Tanger Med port authority has published its 2025 results: the complex’s four container terminals handled 11,106,164 TEU, up 8.4% on 2024 — a new record, enabled by the newly commissioned extension of terminal TC4 operated by APM Terminals.
Total cargo crossed 161 million tonnes (+13.3%). TIR truck traffic rose 3.6% to 535,203 units, while vehicle terminals moved 526,862 cars.
On containers, Tanger Med now clearly outpaces Algeciras and trails only Rotterdam and Antwerp in the wider European range — volumes that feed directly into the port’s business zones and their 1,200+ companies.
